![]() And for those of you who were reading weekly you know that Horikoshi ended up not finishing the chapter with the recital, so the one thing he made the arc about ended up not even being good. 1A does their recital and then they breeze through everything else. And then the actual festival stuff was barely relevant come the end of the arc. There was so much world building potential in focusing on the other departments like Aizawa said it's about, but we didn't. But what the arc actually turned into was the 1A kids running a recital and a random wannabe prank youtuber trying to invade. Finally seeing characters like Mei or Shinsou do things. That's an interesting concept!! I was looking forward to hearing about that. ![]() When they introduced the Cultural Festival, Aizawa said that the festival is to the other departments what the Sports Festival is to the hero department. There's interesting stuff to write, but the way Horikoshi handles those parts it typically just turns into the kids dicking around and bogging the whole story down. The issue is that the writing quality takes a total nose dive in the "Academia" parts. This subreddit supports Spoiler Tags!
